Manifesto
Manifesto
Ok “manifesto” sounds pompous, but “about” is kind of lame, isn’t it?
This blog is about using technology to make the web better. I currently work with Flash / Flex, so these be the technologies mostly discussed here, but that may change. “Better” is good for a title because people can only nod in agreement to it, but what do I mean by it?
- Better for who? First is better for the user. Better for the site creator comes a distant second.
- Better how? People use the web first for content. Use technology to help them get to it, find it, and experience it, not to get in the way!
There are enough tech evangelists working for Adobe, and enough tutorials. So this blog is less about what you can do for the technology, but more about what the technology can do for you.
About the Author
I currently work for pearltrees, a startup that you should be hearing about soon. I contribute to silex , an open source flash CMS, and am co-founder of OOF, an open-source library for Flash to help designers with dynamic content. I write in English because it’s the language of choice for my subject matter. But I am French, and I live near Paris. I play saxophone, and am not sure yet if I want to link here to my band pages, but I’ll think about it.
